Festigny

Soil of the House

The village of Festigny has a quite particular topography : located at the heart of Vallée du Marne, vineyards face the four cardinal points. The land plots of Champagne TRUDON are located all around the village: this rich exposure allows the grape-varieties with foothold there to express in diverse ways.

Over 7.5 hectares, the wine estate counts about fifteen plots.

Pinot Noir is present in the same and single plot, on a slope, with South exposure. The plants of this grape-variety are worked so as to give small yields with excellent juices.

Chardonnay is expressed in a typical way (soft, round, fruity) by developing in a plot in lowland in the village of Festigny.

As for Meunier it is present all over the vineyard of Champagne TRUDON and profits by the rich relief of the Vallée. The Festigny soil is favourable to Meunier. The soils are mainly made with clay-limestone marls.
